This recipe is my daughter's mother in law's and I just needed to share, as I have been cooking for over 30 years and never thought to make Beef Stew with Spaghetti sauce...IT WORKS beautifully.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    beef stew meat
  • 1/2
    onion,diced
  • 1/2
    green pepper, diced
  • 3
    garlic cloves, smashed
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 2
    beef bouillon, cubes
  • 1 c
    wine,white or red
  • 1 large
    jar,spaghetti sauce, meat flavored
  • 1 bunch
    small potatoes
  • 1 bunch
    carrots, baby
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil

How to Make Beef Stew a la Blanco

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large Pot, saute onions, peppers and garlic in olive oil.
  2. add in the spaghetti sauce, wine, bay leaves.
  3. add in the meat cubes...cover and cook on low-med 1 hour, add in potatoes and carrots...simmer another hour.
  4. NO knife needed...enjoy
