carrots, cut into 1/2 inch slices
small either fresh,frozen, or canned peas
How to Make Beef Stew
1Lightly salt and pepper beef cubes and coat with flour.
2In hot skillet, saute floured beef cubes with butter until lightly browned.
3In a heavy pot saute onions until clear.
4Add meat, can of whole tomatoes, 3 cups water, bouillon, parsley, thyme, salt and pepper.
6Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours.
7Then add carrots, celery, potatoes and peas.
8Cook until tender, about 1 hour.
