  • 1 lb
    chuck roast, cubed
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 4 qt
  • 1 tsp
    kitchen bouquet
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 6

  • 2
    celery stalks with leaves
  • 1
  • 2 clove
  • 1 pkg
    frozen okra (optional)
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 can(s)
    whole corn, drained

How to Make Beef Stew


  1. Chop veggies into chunks about 1/2 inch. Mince the garlic.
  2. Cube chuck roast into 1 inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat oil in a large heavy bottom pot.
  4. Place beef in pot, sprinkle with flour and brown on all sides, stirring occasionaly.
  5. Add all remaining ingedients, except the Corn and Okra , and cook on high for 1 hour, lid askew. Stirring occasinaly.
  6. Taste and add salt, pepper and water, if needed. Add the Okra and corn and continue to cook for another half hour.
