Slow Cooker Crock Pot


  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 c
    celery. sliced
  • 1 lb
    red potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
  • 2 lb
    beef stew meat, cut into chunks
  • 2 tsp
    dried thyme leaves
  • 1 can(s)
    (14 1/2 oz.) hunt's dice tomatoes in juice
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 can(s)
    (6 oz.) hunt's tomato paste

How to Make Beef Stew


  1. Place onion evenly on the bottom of 3 1/2 quart or larger crockpot slow cooker.
  2. Add the following ingredients in this order: celery, potatoes and beef.
  3. Sprinkle with thyme.
  4. Pour diced tomatoes and water over the top of the beef.
  5. Cover; cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours until meat is tender.
  6. Stir in tomato paste; cover.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes.
