Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
- 2 cups celery. sliced
- 1 pound red potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
- 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into chunks
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz.) hunt's dice tomatoes in juice
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 can (6 oz.) hunt's tomato paste
How To Make beef stew

Step 1Place onion evenly on the bottom of 3 1/2 quart or larger crockpot slow cooker.

Step 2Add the following ingredients in this order: celery, potatoes and beef.

Step 3Sprinkle with thyme.

Step 4Pour diced tomatoes and water over the top of the beef.

Step 5Cover; cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours until meat is tender.

Step 6Stir in tomato paste; cover.

Step 7Cook for 10 minutes.
