Ingredients
- 4 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 quarts beef stock
- 3 pounds potatoes, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 1 pound carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 - large onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 28 ounces tomatoes, crushed
- 28 ounces tomatoes, dices
- 1 cup red wne
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley, dried
- 1 tablespoon thyme, dried
How To Make beef stew

Step 1Brown meat in oil over medium heat in small batches. After all the meat is browned, return to pot. Lower heat to low, add beef stock and simmer for one hour.

Step 2After one hour of cooking, add the remianing ingredients. Stir to combine. Simmer uncovered for two hours.

Step 3Can be made in a slow cooker. Just brown the meat. Add to slow cooker. Add all the remaining ingredients and cook on low for eight to nine hours
