Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 6 - carrots,(cubed to bitesize)
- 6 - potatoes (cubed to bitesize)
- 6 - onions (cubed to bitesize)
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/3 cup cold water and 3 tlbs flour (to make thickener)
How To Make beef stew

Step 1Brown meat in shortening. Add 2 cups hot water.

Step 2Add seasonings, and chopped onion. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

Step 3Add cubed vegetables. Cover and cook 30-40 minutes.

Step 4Make thickener with 1/3C cold water and 3 tlbs flour. Stir into stew.
