How to Make Beef-Spinach Italian Squares


  • 11 ,10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach,defrosted and well-drainedAbout 10 ounces cooked large macaroni such as Penne ,cooked about 7 minutes.Drain well.
  • 2one pound lean ground beef
  • 31/2 cup chopped onions
  • 42 cloves garlic/minced
  • 52 cups of milk
  • 64 large eggs beaten
  • 7about 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8One large jar of any meatless spagetti sauce/We prefer with mushrooms
  • 9Brown ground beef with onion and garlic.
  • 10Mix two beaten eggs with half of Parmesan cheese and spinach,,and mozzarella cheese well.Fold in cooked beef and cooked pasta.Mix well.
  • 11Place in a GREASED casserole dish ,11x7 x 2 inch. Sprinkle remaining grated Parmsan cheese over top.Cover with foil.Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees,about 45 minutes until set.
  • 12Cut into squares,serve with warm spaghetti sauce on the side and extra grated cheese.
  • 13I also make biscuits or rolls with this meal.
