How To Make beef-spinach italian squares

  • Step 1
    1 ,10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach,defrosted and well-drainedAbout 10 ounces cooked large macaroni such as Penne ,cooked about 7 minutes.Drain well.
  • Step 2
    one pound lean ground beef
  • Step 3
    1/2 cup chopped onions
  • Step 4
    2 cloves garlic/minced
  • Step 5
    2 cups of milk
  • Step 6
    4 large eggs beaten
  • Step 7
    about 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Step 8
    One large jar of any meatless spagetti sauce/We prefer with mushrooms
  • Step 9
    Brown ground beef with onion and garlic.
  • Step 10
    Mix two beaten eggs with half of Parmesan cheese and spinach,,and mozzarella cheese well.Fold in cooked beef and cooked pasta.Mix well.
  • Step 11
    Place in a GREASED casserole dish ,11x7 x 2 inch. Sprinkle remaining grated Parmsan cheese over top.Cover with foil.Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees,about 45 minutes until set.
  • Step 12
    Cut into squares,serve with warm spaghetti sauce on the side and extra grated cheese.

    I also make biscuits or rolls with this meal.
