beef short ribs ala italiano
Thick, rich, delicious beef short ribs. I created this one for my husband who enjoys beef, mushrooms and Italian food. He loves it, I hope you will too.

Ingredients
- 4 pounds beef short ribs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 pound fresh portabello mushrooms cleaned stems trimmed
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce(homemade or store bought)
- 1 cup dry wine
- 4 - italian sausage cooked an cut into one inch pieces
How To Make beef short ribs ala italiano

Step 1Melt Butter and Coconut Oil in a large dutch oven. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees

Step 2Put flour and seasoned salt in a plastic bag. Add each short rib shake to coat and add to pan to brown. Put 4-5 pieces at a time, don't overcrowd the pan. After browning on all sides remove. Do the same until all the ribs are browned. Set aside on plate.

Step 3Add onion to pan and sauté until brown. Then add mushrooms and garlic continue cooking stirring frequently until all are partially cooked about 3-5 minutes.

Step 4Add Marinara sauce, wine, and pepper. Continue cooking another 5 minutes. Add a cup of water, stir to combine.

Step 5Add short Ribs and Italian sausage. Cover dutch oven and put in oven for 3 hours. Check half way through to be sure there is enough liquid. The liquid should be thick and reduced after 3 hours.

Step 6Spoon over fettuccini. Serve with a salad, a loaf of crusty bread,a good red wine and some one you love. A very tasty meal.
