I've been making this recipe for years. My family loves it and it melts in your mouth. I serve it over rice.

Ingredients

lbs of beef round steak
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
shortening
1
16 oz can tomatoes (cut up)
1/2 c
onions (chopped)
1/2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1/2 c
carrots (cut up) *optional

How to Make Beef Round Steak

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cut meat into 6 serving size portions.
  • 2Combine flour & salt, pound 2 tbls of mixture into meat.
  • 3Brown meat in shortening.
  • 4Put meat in baking dish.
  • 5Blend & bring the rest of the flour mixture into pan drippings, stir in undrained tomatoes, carrots, onions, and worstershire sauce.
  • 6Stir until thick and bubbly.
  • 7Pour over meat and bake covered at 350 degrees until tender. About 1 hour and 20 minutes.
