This is one of my favorite recipes to serve during the winter. Its easy to make and tasty

  • 4 lb
    tip or rump roast
  • 1 can(s)
    french onion soup or golden mushroom soup
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1/4 c
    red wine
  • 1 clove

How to Make Beef Roast in a Crockpot


  1. Wash roast.May roll in flower and brown in a thin layer of oil. I have skipped this step and it does fine. Not washin of course .
  2. Next ,place in cock pot add the remaining ingredients .Cover and and cook on high for 2 hours then 4 on low .If you are going to work or out just put on low will cook in 6-8 hours.
  3. May add potatoes ,carrots ,onions .Very good makes its own gravy.All you need is some hot rolls and butter.
