  • 2 lb
    pot roast
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1
    onion, diced
  • 1 c
    carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 c
    cola
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    frozen peas, thawed

How to Make Beef Pot Roast

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in a pot, add the meat and brown well on both sides.
  2. Remove the meat and pour out the fat.
  3. Replace the meat and add onion, carrot and cola.
  4. Place over medium heat and cook 5 minutes.
  5. Add stock and salt, cover and cook for 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender.
  6. Add the peas and cook another 5 minutes.
