Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chuck pot roast
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth, reduced sodium
  • 1 package good seasons italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour

How To Make beef pot roast

  • Step 1
    Coat roast with flour and salad dressing mix. Use a meat tenderizer and gently pound in coating.
  • Step 2
    Place roast in a 5-6 quart crock pot,
  • Step 3
    Mix 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, and beef broth.
  • Step 4
    Pour over roast. Cover, and place on low setting for 6 hours
