If the beef is too large, it will be really tough. This is a fantastic dish that everyone in my family loves.

Ingredients For beef pot pie with biscuits

  • 1 1/2 lb
    round steak cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 2 c
    mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 2 lg
    potatoes, peeled, diced, cooked
  • 1 jar
    (18oz) beef gravy
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1 tube
    (12oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How To Make beef pot pie with biscuits

    In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.

    Stir in the vegetables, gravy, potatoes, thyme and pepper. Transfer to a greased 11"x7" baking dish. Bake uncovered at 400* for 25 minutes.

    Place biscuits in a single layer over meat mixture. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until biscuits are done.
