Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - egg
  • 8 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1/8 cup salad oil
  • 8 ounces beef broth
  • 1 cup water

How To Make beef porcupines

  • Step 1
    Mix half of marinara sauce in with everything except for broth, oil and water.
  • Step 2
    Form meatballs.
  • Step 3
    Fry meatballs in oil until lightly browned.
  • Step 4
    Add rest of marinara, broth and water.
  • Step 5
    Cook until tender, about 40 minutes, with the pan covered.
  • Step 6
    Or bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
