Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked
- - salt to taste
- 1 - clove garlic, minced
- 1 - green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon oregano, fresh chopped
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 pound provolone cheese, sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 16 ounces spaghetti sauce
How To Make beef patties italian-style

Step 1Shape ground beef into 4 oval patties about 1/2-inch thick.

Step 2In large skillet, fry patties until browned on both sides.

Step 3Sprinkle with salt.

Step 4Remove patties to platter.

Step 5Add onion to drippings in pan and cook until tender.

Step 6Add garlic, mushrooms and peppers.

Step 7Cook until tender crisp.

Step 8Drain off fat.

Step 9Stir the oregano and spaghetti sauce into vegetables and heat to boiling.

Step 10Simmer for 1 minute.

Step 11Return beef patties to skillet.

Step 12Top each with a cheese slice and heat through.

Step 13Drain spaghetti place on plate.

Step 14With pancake turner, transfer patties and sauce over spaghetti.

Step 15Garnish with fresh oregano, if desired.
