Ingredients
- 1 pound stew beef, cubed
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 - green bell pepper chopped
- 1 cup green onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sherry
- 2 - beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup rice
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make beef jambalaya

Step 1Cut beef into 1/2-inch cubes.

Step 2Toss with thyme.

Step 3Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4Heat 2 tablespoons oil in skillet.

Step 5Stir in green pepper, green onion, celery and mushrooms.

Step 6Cook until tender; remove from pan.

Step 7Add remaining tablespoon oil to pan.

Step 8Stir in beef.

Step 9Cook until browned.

Step 10Stir in water, sherry, beef bouillon cubes and worcestershire sauce.

Step 11Simmer, covered, 30 minutes.

Step 12Stir in rice, cook 25 minutes longer, or until rice is tender.

Step 13Stir in precooked vegetables, stirring constantly until heated through.
