stew beef, cubed
1 tsp
3 Tbsp
vegetable oil
green bell pepper chopped
1 c
green onion, finely chopped
1 c
celery, sliced
1/2 lb
mushrooms, sliced
2 c
1/2 c
beef bouillon cubes
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 c
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Beef Jambalaya


  • 1Cut beef into 1/2-inch cubes.
  • 2Toss with thyme.
  • 3Season with salt and pepper.
  • 4Heat 2 tablespoons oil in skillet.
  • 5Stir in green pepper, green onion, celery and mushrooms.
  • 6Cook until tender; remove from pan.
  • 7Add remaining tablespoon oil to pan.
  • 8Stir in beef.
  • 9Cook until browned.
  • 10Stir in water, sherry, beef bouillon cubes and worcestershire sauce.
  • 11Simmer, covered, 30 minutes.
  • 12Stir in rice, cook 25 minutes longer, or until rice is tender.
  • 13Stir in precooked vegetables, stirring constantly until heated through.
