Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, boneless cut into strips
- 1/2 cup flour seasoned with salt and pepper
- - oil
- 2 - onions, sliced
- 4 - cloves minced fresh garlic
- 3 - carrots, sliced
- 1 teaspoon parsley, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 24 ounces beer, dark irish
How To Make beef in irish beer

Step 1Dip beef in flour and coat on all sides.

Step 2Brown in oil, in batches and remove to heat proof pot or casserole.

Step 3Saute onions and garlic in same oil and add to beef.

Step 4Add carrots, parsley and thyme.

Step 5Season with salt and pepper.

Step 6Pour enough beef broth to cover and bring to a boil.

Step 7Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.

Step 8Lift meat, onions and carrots from pot to serving plate with slotted spoon.

Step 9Over high heat, reduce sauce to half the original volume.

Step 10Pour sauce over meat and serve.
