beef gumbo rice

A college roommate of my husband’s used to make this for them. It’s quick, super easy and has become a favorite in our house. The kids always loved it when we had gumbo rice night. It isn’t spicy at all, so you could adjust that if you wanted. Serve with a salad and some crusty French bread for a complete meal.

Ingredients For beef gumbo rice

  • 3-4 can
    campbell’s chicken gumbo soup
  • 1 lb
    ground beef, browned and drained
  • To taste
    salt and pepper
  • 2 c
    instant rice

How To Make beef gumbo rice

    Brown ground beef and drain.
  • 2
    Add cans of soup and salt/pepper. The Campbell’s is hard to find. 2 of the chunky gumbo soup with sausage works.

    Serve over hot, cooked white rice.
