Ingredients For beef cobbler

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 md
    onion chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    beef stock
  • 1 Tbsp
    better than beef bouillon
  • 2 Tbsp
    tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c
    frozen peas
  • 2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 c
    bisquick mix
  • 6 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make beef cobbler

    Mix the bisquick half the cheese and 6 tbsp milk adding more or less to make the dough sticky and soft. Set aside.

    Mix the flour with 1/4 cup beef stock. Set aside. Brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. Stir in the beef bouillon, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Add the beef stock. Bring to a boil. Stir in the flour mixture to thicken a bit. Add the frozen peas. Cook 3 minutes.

    Transfer meat mixture to a casserole dish. Top with the remaining cheese. Drop the dough by spoonfuls on top. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
