Tender and tasty, fall off the bone ribs. They are super easy to do and take very little time. One thing you can change is to use red wine in place of the beef liquid if you desire. It gives a different flavor that is quite good.

Ingredients For beef chuck riblets - instant pot

  • 1 pkg
beef chuck riblets - pkg size is approximately 3 lbs
  • your favorite dry rub spice mixture
  • 3 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 c
beef broth, stock or au jus
  • bbq sauce - store bought or homemade

How To Make beef chuck riblets - instant pot

  • 1
Liberally season the ribs with your favorite dry rub spice mix. We like to use equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika with just a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • 2
Pour the oil into your Instant Pot and set the control to saute. When the oil is hot begin adding the rib sections a couple at a time. Brown on both sides then remove to plate to keep warm.
  • 3
Once all of the ribs have been browned and are resting on a side plate, toss the chopped onion into the oil and cook until softened but not browned. Add the garlic powder and liquid and stir to mix.
  • 4
Hit cancel on the control panel. Place the rack that came with your instant pot into the instant pot on top of the onion mixture. Then place the ribs into the rack.
  • 5
Secure the lid onto the Instant Pot, close the vent then press pressure cook on the control panel. Set the timer for 40 minutes and go relax.
  • 6
Once the timer goes off do a natural release for 10 minutes then loosen the lid once the button has popped back down. Leave the loosened lid on for 5 minutes. When the 5 minutes is up transfer the ribs to a broiling pan and brush with your favorite store bought or homemade BBQ sauce. Place under broiler until caramelized. Turn the ribs and brush the other side with sauce and broil until done. I like to turn once more and re-brush the tops before serving.
