Ingredients

  • ½ pound beef tenderloin, cut into bite size
  • ½ pound fresh broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chinese rice cooking wine
  • FOR SAUCE:
  • ½ cup beef stock, unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil

How To Make beef broccoli with oyster sauce

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl, marinate the meat with cornstarch, soy sauce, and rice cooking wine. Mix until well combined, set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a separate bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients, set aside.
  • Step 3
    Heat peanut oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Cook and brown the beef for 1-2 minutes each side, then transfer the beef into a plate, set aside.
  • Step 4
    Add garlic into a skillet, cook for 20 seconds and add broccoli, and cook for 1 minute. Pour the sauce, stir to a simmer and then add the beef. Cook until the sauce is thickened and bubbling. Turn the heat off.
  • Beef broccoli on top of rice
    Step 5
    Serve immediately with rice.
