Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper, ground
  • 2 - cloves minced fresh garlic
  • 1 - 2 pounds beef brisket
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How To Make beef brisket with barbeque sauce

  • Step 1
    For cooking liquid: In a bowl combine water, worcestershire sauce, vinegar, bouillon, mustard, chili powder, red pepper and garlic; reserve 1/2 cup liquid for sauce.
  • Step 2
    Trim fat from brisket.
  • Step 3
    If necessary, cut brisket to fit slow cooker.
  • Step 4
    Add liquid from bowl and brisket to slow cooker.
  • Step 5
    Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or high-heat setting for 5-6 hours.
  • Step 6
    For sauce, in a small sauce pan combine 1/2 cup reserved liquid, ketchup, brown sugar and butter.
  • Step 7
    Heat through.
  • Step 8
    Serve sauce with meat.
