  • 1/2 c
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 tsp
    beef bouillon granules
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper, ground
  • 2
    cloves minced fresh garlic
  • 1 - 2 lb
    beef brisket
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Beef Brisket With Barbeque Sauce


  1. For cooking liquid: In a bowl combine water, worcestershire sauce, vinegar, bouillon, mustard, chili powder, red pepper and garlic; reserve 1/2 cup liquid for sauce.
  2. Trim fat from brisket.
  3. If necessary, cut brisket to fit slow cooker.
  4. Add liquid from bowl and brisket to slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or high-heat setting for 5-6 hours.
  6. For sauce, in a small sauce pan combine 1/2 cup reserved liquid, ketchup, brown sugar and butter.
  7. Heat through.
  8. Serve sauce with meat.
