beef bouillon granules
1 tsp
dry mustard
1 tsp
chili powder
1/2 tsp
red pepper, ground
cloves minced fresh garlic
1 - 2 lb
beef brisket
1/2 c
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
2 Tbsp

How to Make Beef Brisket With Barbeque Sauce


  • 1For cooking liquid: In a bowl combine water, worcestershire sauce, vinegar, bouillon, mustard, chili powder, red pepper and garlic; reserve 1/2 cup liquid for sauce.
  • 2Trim fat from brisket.
  • 3If necessary, cut brisket to fit slow cooker.
  • 4Add liquid from bowl and brisket to slow cooker.
  • 5Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or high-heat setting for 5-6 hours.
  • 6For sauce, in a small sauce pan combine 1/2 cup reserved liquid, ketchup, brown sugar and butter.
  • 7Heat through.
  • 8Serve sauce with meat.
