- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 quart sauerkraut
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup vinegar
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 - potato, grated
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
How To Make beef brisket and sauerkraut

Step 1Cover brisket with water; season.

Step 2Simmer for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours.

Step 3Add sauerkraut, vinegar and brown sugar.

Step 4Cook 1 hour longer.

Step 5Add potato and caraway seed.

Step 6Cook 10 minutes longer.

Step 7Yeild 6 to 8 servings.
