Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef cubes, 1 1/2 inches
  • 1 can golden mushroom soup
  • 2/3 cup burgundy wine
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 pound onions, small white
  • - cooked noodles or macaroni

How To Make beef bourguignonne

  • Step 1
    In skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove and crumble.
  • Step 2
    Brown beef in drippings.
  • Step 3
    Add soup, wine, garlic, bay, parsley, thyme and bacon.
  • Step 4
    Cover; cook over low heat 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    Add onions; cook 1 hour more or until done.
  • Step 6
    Stir occasionally.
  • Step 7
    Remove bay leaf.
  • Step 8
    Serve over noodles.
