Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter and margarine
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onions
  • 1 cup carrots, cut in thin strips
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/8 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup beef broth or bouillon
  • 1 can (6-oz) mushroom crowns
  • 1 pint braised beef cube mix, thawed
  • - buttered noodles, sprinkled with poppy seeds

How To Make beef bourguignonne

  • Step 1
    Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet. Saute onions, carrots and garlic until onions are lightly browned. Add salt, pepper, marjoram, thyme, beef broth or bouillon, mushrooms and BRAISED BEEF CUBE MIX, THAWED.
  • Step 2
    Stir until well blended. Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender. Serve over hot buttered noodles sprinkled with poppy seeds.
