butter and margarine
1 c
thinly sliced onions
1 c
carrots, cut in thin strips
1 clove
garlic, minced
1 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
1/8 tsp
marjoram
1/8 tsp
thyme
1 c
beef broth or bouillon
1 can(s)
(6-oz) mushroom crowns
1 pt
braised beef cube mix, thawed
buttered noodles, sprinkled with poppy seeds

How to Make Beef Bourguignonne

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet. Saute onions, carrots and garlic until onions are lightly browned. Add salt, pepper, marjoram, thyme, beef broth or bouillon, mushrooms and BRAISED BEEF CUBE MIX, THAWED.
  • 2Stir until well blended. Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender. Serve over hot buttered noodles sprinkled with poppy seeds.
