- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 - 15 oz. can black beans, drained
- 2 - medium sweet potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup chopped raisins
- 3 - plum tomatoes chopped
- 1 - green chili seeded and chopped
- 1 - small onion chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1PRE HEAT OVEN TO 350. GREASE A 3- QUART BAKING DISH. SPREAD THE BEANS IN AN EVEN LAYER ON BOTTOM OF DISH. LAYER THE POTATOES OVER THE BEANS. SPRINKLE WITH THE RAISINS, TOMATOES, CHILI AND ONION. SET ASIDE.

Step 2BROWN BEEF OVER MEDIUM HEAT, DRAIN. STIR IN TOMATO SAUCE, CHILI POWDER, CUMIN AND SALT. SPREAD OVER TO OF VEGETABLES.

Step 3COVER AND BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES. UNCOVER, SPREAD CHEESE ON TOP AND BAKE 15 MINUTES LONGER.
