Ingredients
- 10 ounces frozen peas with butter sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 - onion, sliced
- 1 - clove garlic, minced
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 - puff pastry sheet, thawed
- 1 - egg, slightly beaten
How To Make beef and onion deep dish pie

Step 1Heat oven to 400.

Step 2Place unopened pea pouch in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes to thaw.

Step 3In large skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic; drain.

Step 4Stir in sour cream, flour, thyme and pepper until well blended.

Step 5Fold in thawed peas.

Step 6Pour mixture into 1 1/2 quart shallow casserole.

Step 7Cut pastry sheet to fit inside top of casserole.

Step 8Place on top of ground beef mixture.

Step 9Brush lightly with beaten egg.

Step 10Prick pastry with fork in several places to allow steam to escape during baking.

Step 11Bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
