Ingredients For beef and lentil stew

1 lblean ground beef

1 tspbeef bouillon

1 tspsalt

2 Tbspparsley, finely chopped sprigs

1bay leaf

1/4 cred wine, optional

3 cwater
-
1 clentils, uncooked

1 lgcarrot, thinly sliced

1stalk celery, sliced

16 ozstewed tomatoes

4 ozmushrooms, stems and pieces

1clove garlic, minced

1/2 cchopped onion

1/4 tsppepper
How To Make beef and lentil stew

1Cook and stir the meat, onion and the garlic in a dutch oven until the meat is brown.

2Drain off the excess fat.

3Stir in the undrained mushrooms and the remaining ingredients.

4Heat to boiling then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender, about 40 minutes.

5Remove the bay leaf and serve.
