Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
- 2 cups cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 8 - hamburger buns

Step 1Hamburger buns should be split and toasted.

Step 2Cook and stir the meat, onion and celery in a large skillet until the meat is brown.

Step 3Drain off the excess fat.

Step 4Stir in the cabbage, green pepper, ketchup, water, salt and mustard and heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

Step 5Reduce the heat and cover.

Step 6Simmer until the vegetables are tender, about 25 minutes.

Step 7Spoon the mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns and top with the remaining halves.
