beale street baked beans
(1 RATING)
Though these are always a big hit at backyard barbecues, they aren't just fair weather food. Try them as a dip for corn chips on a chilly night by the fireplace. Source:Unknown

How To Make beale street baked beans
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350. In a large skillet, cook beef (or turkey) and onion til meat is brown, sprinkling with lemon pepper seasoning and garlic powder after meat has started to brown. Drain. Transfer to medium bowl
-
Step 2Add catsup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, and pepper. Mix til well combined.
-
Step 3Carefully stir in beans til well mixed. Transfer to a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, about 30 minutes or til bubbly. Makes 10 to 12 servings. Note: This recipe says "family, fireworks, and fun." It was always on the menu with sesame fried chicken, fresh fruit salad and hot buttered bread. When I need a sure fire hit for any gathering, I bring these beans. Even men ask for the recipe.
