My sister gave me this recipe. It makes a great reunion recipe as it makes enough for 24 sandwiches and can be kept warm on low in a crock pot.

boneless 4 lb chuck roast
4 c
1/2 c
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
dry mustard
1/2 tsp
ground pepper
1/3 c
apple cider vinegar
2 c
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
hamburger buns

How to Make BBQ'D Beef In a Bun


  • 1Bring chuck roast to a boil in water. Cover and simmer 2 to 3 hrs until tender.
  • 2Drain, reserving 3 cups of the liquid. Shred beef and return to kettle.
  • 3Add brown sugar, dry mustard, pepper, vinegar, ketchup, and worcestershire sauce along with the 3 cups reserved liquid. Simmer 20 to 25 min. Serve on buns.
