soft bread crumbs
1 lb
ground beef
1/2 lb
ground pork
1 c
instant dry milk
1/4 c
chopped onions
1
egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 tsp
onion powder

BBQ SAUCE

1
small onion, chopped
2 Tbsp
butter, melted
1 slice
lemon
1/2 tsp
chili powder
1 Tbsp
celery seed
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1/4 c
vinegar
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 c
ketchup
2 - 3 dash(es)
tabasco sauce

How to Make Barbecued Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  • 1For meatballs:
    Soak bread crumbs in 1/2 cup water. Combine with next 7 ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Shape into 12 medium-sized meatballs.
  • 2Place in baking dish; cover with BBQ sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Turn once to prevent burning during baking. Add additional water to prevent sticking. Serve with rice.
  • 3For BBQ Sauce:
    Saute onion in skillet with butter. Add remaining ingredients plus 1 cup water; mix well. Bring to a boil.
