barbecued hamburger patties

Just found this recipe on here a couple of days ago...it said claim it, so I did.Made this for dinner last night and my 7 yr old loved it! He loves anything with BBQ sauce,especialy hamburgers!Hope you like it too...

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • NOTE: - you can aslo use your favorite bottled bbq sauce instead of making this one.

How To Make barbecued hamburger patties

  • Step 1
    Mix the meat, onion and salt together.
  • Step 2
    Shape the mixture into 6 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick.
  • Step 3
    Brown the patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning once.
  • Step 4
    Cover and cook over low heat about 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Drain off the excess fat.
  • Step 6
    Mix ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar and apple cider vinegar.
  • Step 7
    Pour sauce over the patties.
  • Step 8
    Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, spooning the sauce onto the patties occasionally.
  • Step 9
    Serve with the sauce spooned over the patties,or with mashed potatoes.
