Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck, boneless
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 - clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 10 - french rolls, split

How To Make barbecued beef sandwiches

  • Step 1
    Place beef in slow-cooker.
  • Step 2
    Combine remaining ingredients, except rolls.
  • Step 3
    Pour over meat.
  • Step 4
    Cover and cook on low 8-9 hours.
  • Step 5
    Refrigerate or prepare sandwiches now.
  • Step 6
    Shred beef by pulling it apart with two forks; add 1 cup sauce.
  • Step 7
    Reheat in microwave or on stovetop.
  • Step 8
    Spoon on warm, open-face rolls.
  • Step 9
    Top with additional warm sauce, if desired.
  • Step 10
    This may be cooked a day ahead and refrigerated overnight.
  • Step 11
    Skim fat off top and reheat.
