Bul Kogi is great with fried rice. Quick & easy

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak
  • 3 - scallions
  • 4 - cloves garlic
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • 1/4 cup beef stock
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make barbecued beef (korean bul kogi)

  • Step 1
    Slice the steak very thin on the bias.
  • Step 2
    Score each piece with an X.
  • Step 3
    Chop the scallions and crush the garlic.
  • Step 4
    Combine these ingredients with the remaining seasonings in a bowl.
  • Step 5
    Add the meat to the marinade and mix well until all sides of the steak are coated.
  • Step 6
    The meat may be grilled immediately.
  • Step 7
    The best results are obtained if the steak is marinated for 2 hours.

    The marinade will keep overnight.
