Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked beef strips, 2 x 1/4
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 - onions, thinly sliced
- 2 slices lemon
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 4 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 - hamburger buns
How To Make barbecued beef buns

Step 1Combine all of the ingredients, except the hamburger buns, in a 4-quart dutch oven.

Step 2Cook over high heat until the mixture comes to a boil.

Step 3Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes or until the mixture thickens.

Step 4Remove the lemon slices.

Step 5Pour into a container, cover and refrigerate.

Step 6TO SERVE: Warm over medium heat and serve in the hamburger buns.
