Ingredients
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- - black pepper, coarsely ground
- 1/2 pound beef brisket
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 5 - carrots, cut into 1" slices
- 5 - potatoes, unpeeled quartered
- - salt to taste
- - pepper to taste
How To Make barbecued beef brisket

Step 1Combine ketchup, water, onion, vinegar, horseradish, mustard and pepper.

Step 2Place brisket in a shallow glass baking dish.

Step 3Pour marinade over; cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 4Heat oven to 350.

Step 5Scatter onions on top of meat.

Step 6Cover and bake 2 1/2 hours.

Step 7Add carrots and potatoes; cover and continue baking until meat and vegetables are tender, about 1 hour.

Step 8Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 9Cut meat into thin slices.

Step 10Use the pan juices as sauce.
