My mum used to make this recipe and I haven't eaten a meatloaf that compares. When I met my husband his mum was a cooking teacher and her mum and his paternal grandmother were excellent cooks - stiff competition however my meatloaf beat all theirs hands down. Now it is a favourite with our kids!

The sauce is so moorish especially as it caramelises and thickens you will find that you need to double the mixture every time you make it just like we do.
