Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 - egg whites
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/16 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef

How To Make barbecue meat loaf

  • Step 1
    Place all ingredients except beef in mixer bowl and mix at low speed to blend well.
  • Step 2
    Add beef to ketchup mixture and mix at low speed until blended.
  • Step 3
    Do not overmix.
  • Step 4
    Shape into a loaf about 3 1/2x7 inches.
  • Step 5
    Place in a pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray or lined with aluminum foil.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until browned and firm.
  • Step 7
    Pour off any fat and drippings and let set for 10 minutes before cutting into 6 equal slices.
  • Step 8
    Serve 1 slice per serving.
