- 2 teaspoons soy sauce, low sodium
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper, minced
- 1 1/2 pounds lean beef strips
- 8 - 12 - skewers, soaked in oil
How To Make bali maki (oriental beef sticks)
-
Step 1Combine all ingredients (except beef & skewers); mix well.
-
Step 2In a large ziplock bag, marinade beef strips in mixture for at least 3 hours for flavors to marry.
-
Step 3Prepare a fire in a grill to a high heat.
-
Step 4Push beef strips onto 8 - 12 oiled bamboo skewers. Reserve marinade.
-
Step 5Brush marinade over meat. Cook skewers for 3 - 4 minutes, flip & cook skewers for 3 - 4 minutes each side, brushing repeatedly with the marinade. Discard any left over marinade.
