A basic lasagna for the whole family to enjoy. May serve with garlic bread and salad if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons salad or olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
  • 2 - 6 ounce cans tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 2 - eggs
  • 3/4 pound ricotta cheese or creamed cottage cheese
  • 3/4 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • - parmesan cheese, grated

How To Make baked lasagna casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef in oil with onion, garlic and parsley.
  • Step 2
    Add tomato paste, water, salt and pepper and simmer for 1 hour.
  • Step 3
    Meanwhile, cook and cool noodles as directed on package.
  • Step 4
    Mix together eggs and ricotta (or cottage cheese).
  • Step 5
    In a 9 X 13 inch baking dish, spread about 1/2 cup meat sauce, then alternate layers of lasagna noodles, sauce, egg mixture and mozzarella until baking dish is filled.
  • Step 6
    Top with more sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes.
