Ingredients
- 7 pounds beef brisket
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 3 - onions, sliced
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
How To Make baked brisket of beef

Step 1Brown meat under broiler on both sides.

Step 2Combine water, ketchup, onions, worcestershire sauce, chili powder, vinegar, 1 teaspoon of salt, paprika and red pepper.

Step 3Pour over beef in roasting pan.

Step 4Bake, covered, for 4 - 5 hours at 325.

Step 5Check to see if done after 3 1/2 hours.

Step 6Bake only until meat is tender.

Step 7Check occassionaly to see that liquid is still there, adding if necessary.

Step 8Serves about 15 people.
