How to Make Baked Beef Brisket

  • 1Preheat oven to 350. While oven is preheating lightly brown the brisket on both sides in oil in a large fry pan.
  • 2Transfer brisket into a 9"x13" 4 quart glass baking dish. Pour beef broth into the dish.
  • 3Slice onion and bell pepper and arrange on the top and around the brisket. Tent the pan with foil and bake at 350 until tender about 3 to 4 hours. If the liquid cooks out add more, however it should not since the baking dish is covered.
  • 4Use drippings to make gravy if desired. This roast is always a huge hit at my house! I serve it with crock pot mashed potatoes and other side dishes. Enjoy!
