baked bean chili
It may seem strange to some to use Baked Beans in Chili, but this is the way my mother made her chili for as long as I can remember and I am not a big fan of Kidney beans or Chili beans, so this is my go to Chili recipe every time and my family loves it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

6-8 serving(s)
Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef
- 4 packages french's chili-o mix
- 4 cans bush's original baked beans
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato paste
How To Make baked bean chili
-
Step 1In Dutch Oven or large stock pot, brown ground beef and drain off grease, add in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about an hour, stirring often to prevent burning to bottom of pot.
-
Step 2Taste test it to see if it needs more tomato sauce or if you want it a little more soupy you can add a little bit of water to it, however you will need to add another partial pack of chili mix to compensate for the change in flavor due to adding the water.
-
Step 3I serve it with Town House Crackers or Cornbread. Enjoy!!
