bacon cheeseburger balls

These yummy balls of goodness have been family approved by the cheeseburger lovers of this house. Asking if there were anymore. These would be great as an appetizer or just a snack..serve with your favorite sauces..I served them with mustard and ketchup. If you like a bacon cheeseburger.. you will love these juicy, bacon ,cheesy gems. Enjoy! I know my family sure did.. My pictures

yield 20 medium sized balls

Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 1 - envelope, onion soup mix
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, or any shredded cheese would work
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • COATING
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs, i used italian bread crumbs
  • - oil for browning

How To Make bacon cheeseburger balls

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine egg and soup mix. Add ground beef and mix well.
  • Step 2
    Divide into about 20 portions. Mine were about a 2 inch ball. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl, combine the flour and milk until smooth. Add cheese and bacon. Mix well. Shape cheese mixture into 20 balls. Shape one beef portion around each cheese ball.
  • Step 4
    In a shallow bowl, beat eggs. Place bread crumbs in another bowl.
  • Step 5
    Dip meatballs into egg, then coat with crumbs. In a large skillet, cook meatballs in vegetable oil over medium heat for 10-12 minutes; turning often to brown on all sides.
  • Step 6
    Serve with your favorite sauces..Enjoy!
