    beef brisket, cubed
  • 1 lb
    lean pork, ground
  • 1 large
    onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 2
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    green chiles, diced
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1
    beef bouillon cube
  • 12 oz
    beer
  • 1 1/4 c
    water
  • 6 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/3 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/3 tsp
    brown sugar
  • pinch
    oregano

How to Make Award Winning Chili

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large kettle or dutch oven, brown the beef, pork and onions in hot oil.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Cover and simmer 3 to 4 hours, until meat is tender and chili is thick and bubbly.
  6. Stir occasionally.
