A friend sent this to me this morning... and it sounds sooooo good! Dinner's already in the crockpot for tonight, but I'm looking forward to next weekend! (It's from the Campbell's Kitchen)

I think when I make it I'll take the time to season and brown the roast in my iron skillet first, I guess it preference.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


4 c
peeled sweet potatoes cut in 1 1/4 inch chunks (about 1 1/2 pounds)
1 medium
onion, coarsely chopped
2 medium
granny smith apples, cored and each cut into 12 wedges
1 can(s)
(10 1/2 ounces) campbell's condensed beef broth
2 tsp
dried thyme leaves, crushed
2 lb
boneless beef chuck roast


1Place sweet potatoes, onion, apples, broth, and thyme in the crockpot /slow cooker. Add roast.
22. Cover and cook on low for 10-12hrs or high 4-5 hrs or until well done
