This recipe is a unique reimagining of Kalua Pork combined with an equally unique reimagining of Moroccan Mujadara. It's flavorful, filling, and well rounded. Tip: I like to sprinkle each serving with a pinch of feta cheese, and garnish with thinly sliced green onions and chopped fresh parsley.

Ingredients
- KHALUA BEEF
- 6 pounds beef tri-tip roast
- 1 tablespoon hawaiian red salt
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1 cup beef broth
- - vegetable cooking spray
- RICE & LENTILS
- 3 cups basmati rice (uncooked)
- 3 cups beef broth
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons onion powder
- 4 large bay leaves
- 1 can lentils
How To Make aunt squishy's kalua fusion

Step 1Using a large meat fork, poke holes all over the beef trip-tip roast. The more holes the better.

Step 2Place the roast in a crock pot, sprinkle it with the Hawaiian sea salt and liquid smoke, and lightly spray the top with vegetable oil.

Step 3Cook on low for 8 hours.

Step 4Once the beef is done cooking, shred it up with a set of bear paws, add 1 cup of beef broth, mix well, and set aside.

Step 5Place rice, 3 cups of beef broth, minced garlic, onion powder, and bay leaves in your rice cooker and cook using the white rice setting (or stove cook according to package directions)

Step 6Strain lentils and rinse thoroughly until there are no more bubbles.

Step 7When rice is finished cooking, add the lentils to the rice and gently mix them together.

Step 8Scoop rice into serving bowls and top with a healthy portion of shredded beef. Salt and pepper to taste.
