  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    italian pork sausage
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried onion flakes
  • 2
    large eggs
  • 1/2 c
    saltine cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp
    lipton onion soup mix

How to Make Aunt Betty's Meatloaf


  1. Preheat oven to 350*. Place all but the soup mix together in a bowl.
  2. Add 1/2 of the soup mix package and mix well. Form into a loaf shape and place into dutch oven. Sprinkle remaining onion soup mix over the top and add 1/2 cup water.
  3. Cook for 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 155* to 160*. Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before cutting.
  4. If using a Crock Pot, follow above directions but place in crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours.
