Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • MARINADE
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro leaves , chopped fine
  • 1 - serrano chile, finely minced

How To Make argentine grilled flank steak

  • Step 1
    Put all ingredients into a large zip top bag.
  • Step 2
    Mix the ingredients well. Add the steak and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Refrigerate the zip bag overnight.
  • Step 4
    Remove steak from refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Step 5
    Preheat your grill on high.
  • Step 6
    Remove steak from marinade.
  • Step 7
    Cook steak 2 minutes on 1 side then flip over and cook 1 1/2 minutes. Check to make sure the steak is done to your preference. If not, cook steak longer.
  • Step 8
    Let the steak sit for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Step 9
    Some people like to top their steak with marinade when eating. Make extra marinade to top steak. Do not use the marinade the steak was in.
